April 16. On this day exactly 3 years ago, I stepped foot in Vancouver for good – inspiration and camera in tow. Deep down, I knew its wonderful people, delicious Asian food (yes, I love my rice), and breathtaking landscapes made for the perfect playground for my passions to come alive.
I had been a photographer in the Philippines for as long as I can remember. It wasn’t an easy decision to let go of my clientele, be away from family, and brace myself for each new risk.
Then again, I’ve never been one to shy away from an adventure.
And so, I did the only thing I knew how to do: I let my passion for photography take the lead. I booked my one-way ticket to Vancouver, and it’s been an amazing ride ever since.
Today, I can tell you the risk is worth it. I have since met so many amazing people, and discovered as many beautiful destinations – all of which continually fuels my creativity. I’m always grateful for being able to use my passion for people who choose to share their milestones with me. Every new person I meet and every unique story I capture serve as testaments to living a life led by passion.
The last 3 years have been nothing short of exhilarating, making me look forward to what’s in store in the next. Who else will I meet? Where else will I go?
Have I met you yet? ;)
